As one of our most popular programs, Acting for Screen & Film Production aims to provide students with unique insight into how a film is made from concept and casting all the way through to filming and editing.

Led by our amazing Acting for Screen teachers, students not only learn the basics of screen acting and how to interact with a camera, but also get first hand experience with filming, storyboarding, lighting, costuming, location scouting, editing and more! Unlike other screen courses, students are involved in both the performance and production, giving them two impressive skill sets.

Primary Students
Ages 6–9
- Student centred curriculum based on current research in Drama, Media, Teaching and Learning
- One Main Teacher and one technical assistant to ensure students are guided both in front and behind the camera
- Strong focus on speech quality for camera including clarity, diction, tone, expression and general presentation skills
- Whole class, small group work and individual training to develop interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Scene and script work chosen from a wide range of popular films and television shows
- Practical introduction to film pre-production including story boarding, concept creation and script writing
- Fast paced, interactive and FUN classes centred around positive feedback and inclusive teaching strategies
Young + Senior Youth Students
Ages 10–16
- Student centred curriculum based on current research in Drama, Media, Teaching and Learning
- One Main Teacher and one technical assistant to ensure students are guided both in front and behind the camera
- Strong focus on speech quality for camera including clarity, diction, tone, expression and general presentation skills
- Whole class, small group work and individual training to develop interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Scene and script work chosen from a wide range of popular films and television shows
- Practical introduction to film pre-production including story boarding, concept creation and script writing
- Practical introduction to industry based skills including mock audition panels, self tapes, information on securing an agent etc.
- On set film production experience including lighting, photography, costuming, make up, filming on location etc.
- Post production experience including editing, voice over work, reshoots, special effects, green screen etc.
Young Adult Students
Ages 17 - 18+
- Student centred curriculum based on current research in Drama, Media, Teaching and Learning
- One Main Teacher and one technical assistant to ensure students are guided both in front and behind the camera
- Strong focus on speech quality for camera including clarity, diction, tone, expression and general presentation skills
- Whole class, small group work and individual training to develop interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Scene and script work chosen from a wide range of popular films and television shows
- Further development of pre-production skills including story boarding, concept creation and script writing
- Further development of industry based skills including mock audition panels, self tapes, information on securing an agent etc.
- On set film production experience including lighting, photography, costuming, make up etc
- Further experience to shooting on location, potential night shoots, working to a Production deadline etc
- Further experience in marketing of a film, creation of promotional material & online campaigns
- Post production experience including editing, voice over work, reshoots, special effects, green screen etc.
